Some Old Renders I Found

If you have ever tried to keep a blog going at the same time as real work and a family you'll know how hard it can be to keep it up. Over the years I have tried this a few times. And unfortunately I failed every time. Mainly due to lack of time, but a few times because hackers destroyed all my stuff. And back in the old days I was bad and never really kept to a strict backup schedule. As a result few of my older works survive from one blog iteration to the next.

Today however I stumbled across an old flash drive in the bottom of a box of junk. The contents of which where mainly old java programs i was messing with. There was however a number of old renders and Photoshop works I did way back in 2009/10. So I thought I would shear them again with the world. Enjoy.

A render of some diamonds I did in 3DS Max back in 2009 just coz I could.

This banner was made up for a virtual unit I was part of for many years. We where arguable the best at what we did. Unfortunately they disbanded. But you can still find stuff about them floating around the interweb.

Minecraft Cave In First Release

Today I have posted the first release of the project that I have worked on for so long with my son. Minecraft Cave In!!!

My son and I have been working on and off on this for about a year. More of a bonding project then an actual make money project. Minecraft Cave In is a simple but fun vertical scroller themed after Minecraft. Check it out here.

Currently its only released for desktop browsers via the Unity WebGL Player and lacks a lot of refinement. Bit it is fun harder then you would think. If you try it and like it please leave us a comment to let us know. If you don’t like it then tells us that too. We both want to make it fun to play for everyone. If we get a good response we will work on a mobile version with better levels and power ups.

My New Blog Is Starting Here

Well Along with yet another redesign of my site I have decided to dump all the old blog posts and start over. There was really nothing there that is related to what I’m doing these days so a clean slate it is.

This new blog is going to be my personal dev diary for all my on going projects. Currently I have few. Mostly based around Unity these include some games, Cave In and Shooting Beats – Redux to name a couple. Plus there are a couple of asset pack projects aimed at the Unity Asset store. These are Weapons Rack; A drop in upgrade-ableĀ  weapons system for use in Unity projects. And Selectable Objects. An RTS style object selection system that works in most games out of the box.

Details of all my projects can be found by clicking the ‘My Projects‘ Link at the top of the page.

I will also be posting up about other web site projects I work on so check back or not. Peace.
